When BNI first started, the organization's foremost goal was to generate new business for people in a positive, supportive, and structured word-of-mouth marketing program.
Over time, BNI learned that there were many more benefits that members experienced in addition to getting more referrals and new business. Early on it was determined that BNI truly is about relationships.
It's about a system: teamwork, experience, professionalism, relationships, and much more. BNI offers many benefits to members who actively "work" the program.
Yes... BNI breakfast meetings are early... early enough so that you still get to work -- on time -- as usual. Joining BNI requires a commitment, just like every other business meeting that you arrange. Regular attendance leads to strong, long-term, relationships, and those relationships bring good, solid, referrals...
